🚨Community Alert: Rogue Door-to-Door salespersons🚨

 

Residents are advised to be cautious following reports of suspicious individuals going door-to-door in the Hallcroft. These individuals claim to be sales representatives or contractors, and although some may be legitimate, some are believed to be fraudulent. 

 

What to watch out for:

  • Aggressive sales tactics or pressure to sign contracts immediately
  • Requests for cash payments on the spot
  • Lack of official identification or refusal to show credentials
  • Vague or evasive answers about the company the represent
  • Easily willing to negotiate on pricing in order to close the deal

    What should you do:

  • Do not share personal or banking information at the door
  • Never feel pressured into making a purchase
  • Always ask for identification and verify the company independently before engaging (Google to see if they have any reviews).
  • If you feel unsafe and call 999
